the story goes... She got everything she ever wanted, as many only children do. That is to say she got everything her parents thought she wanted. The nomads that traveled though her town could offer her freedom.

There is a society on the streets. Some rely on their being quick and nimble to get what they need to survive. Some learn to seduce their marks and manipulate men into giving what is needed. That's not to say being quick is not a skill worth having.

Her moral compass is strong. She enjoys bringing torment and suffering to those she knows have done wrong by her people. Being on Esmerelda's good side is... Let's just say you should be relieved you aren't on her bad side. You don't want to be on her bad side.

The fairy tales of her youth were much too sunny. Always the prince charming and the happily ever after. The fairies in the real world are a much more sinister race.

She refuses to give his name. But even he couldn't satisfy her; she got bored with him, decided his money was more important than he was... Esmerelda refuses to go into more detail about what happened to him.

Esmerelda will do things purely in pursuit of pleasure, and damn those who get in her way and damn the consequences. The ends justify the means, especially when those means are enjoyable.

So what if you don't believe in fairies? As long as somebody out there does, then they are real. And there is magic in Esmerelda. And she knows there are fairies. And you should never cross them.
